Week 3: Costal Alabama Daphne vs. Blount

 

The stakes of this one look eerily similar to last year’s game between the two teams. Blount, under new coach Lev Holly, is coming off a jamboree win over Vigor and an impressive regular-season opening win over Williamson last week. The Trojans are again licking their wounds after a tough, last-second loss to Class 6A, Region 1 rival Saraland. Glenn Vickery’s team needs a win to avoid an 0-2 hole in the Class 6A, Region 1 race. … Despite last week’s loss, Daphne was impressive at times with John Quinnelly, Rashad McCullum and Brandolin Perdue leading the offense and Deangelo Young and Trent Ellis leading the defense. … The Leopards have plenty of talent on offense with experienced quarterback Kadarius Toney and talented receivers like Reginald Todd and Antonio Wright.
